Staff PIN

The Staff PIN feature is ideal for "Front Counter" Point Of Sale scenarios. In this setup, you will have one User Login for each Front Counter device.

For example:

  • Front Counter 1

  • Front Counter 2

  • Front Counter 3

Each of these devices will have its own user login (i.e. 3 user logins all up), and once logged in, they should remain logged in for the day at least.

You may have 10 sales staff however, that could make sales on any one of these front counter devices at any time. Normally, staff would have to manually select their staff record from the Staff dropdown list in the Booking/Invoice screen, and they could choose any staff member in theory.

The Staff PIN feature streamlines the Staff selection process at the point of sale and also prevents a staff member from choosing the wrong Staff record.
