Meter Readings (Overview)

If you have any of your items that are charged based on meter usage, or need to be serviced after a set amount of meter usage, you can set your items as a Metered item.

You can input the current meter reading in several places within HirePOS:

• On the Booking/Invoice screen

  • When dispatching the item

  • When returning the item

• When processing a Maintenance (service) record

• When processing an Inspection Checklist (Pre/Post/Scheduled)

• At any time, using Onsite Meter Readings

The item's Last Meter Reading is the highest previously recorded meter reading in the item's history, or since the last time the meter was replaced.
