Item Message

The item Description and the invoice line item Description fields allow up to 255 characters. When an item is added to a sales record (Booking, Invoice, etc) the Description field is normally left untouched as the default item description.

When the description is to be extended with additional once-off details, the Item Message feature should be used.

After adding the item, click the very first column cell to show the line item popup menu. Then click the Item Message option. This shows a new row just below the item where you can enter additional multi-line text, which will appear just below the item on the preview/Pdf, where the styling can be customised if required.
