Booking Deposits

Unlike straight Sales businesses, Hire (and event services businesses) often require their customers to pay a booking deposit to lock in the dates of the hire and reserve the equipment.

This amount is a portion of the final invoice value, usually captured close to the date that the booking is confirmed.

Deposit Due Dates can be made visible on your bookings and invoices, and will create a reminder on your Home Screen for the date the deposit is due (unless a deposit has been received)

Deposit Value / Percentage

In the Other tab on the invoice, screen contains 2 fields alongside the Deposit Due Date (Deposit $ and Deposit %) These fields can be exposed on your booking/invoice paperwork alongside the Deposit Due Date.

These can default on every new Quote/Booking/Invoice via Setup > Preferences > Sales
